ABOUT BJORN BJORNSSON
Bjorn Bjornsson is a former minister and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Santa Clarita, California, where he resides and operates his private practice. He earned a Master’s degree in Theology in 1998 and a Master’s degree in Psychology from Azusa Pacific University in 2012. Drawing from his extensive background in ministry and psychology, Bjorn provides compassionate and integrative care to individuals, couples, and families.
In 2020, Bjorn founded Saga Mental Health and Relationship Centers, a network of licensed Christian therapists dedicated to promoting mental, emotional, and relational well-being through Christ-centered counseling. His therapeutic approach is rooted in relational psychoanalysis, existential philosophy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a highly effective technique for addressing trauma, anxiety, panic, and disturbing memories.
Bjorn’s areas of expertise include couples therapy, attachment issues, family systems, codependency, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, spirituality, and spiritual crises. He has worked with a diverse clientele and is trained and certified to use Prepare/Enrich, a program specifically designed to support pre-marital and married couples.
Through these therapeutic approaches, Bjorn strives to provide personalized care that integrates emotional healing with deeper existential and relational insights, helping his clients navigate life’s challenges with hope and purpose.
