A portrait of Bjornsson.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in private practice in Santa Clarita, California providing psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families. My areas of expertise include trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and spirituality.

I graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University (2012). After completing my education and internship hours, I opened my practice, Saga Counseling Services, in November of 2015.

I graduated from the University of Iceland with Masters of Divinity in 1998 and became an ordained minister. During my 11 years in the ministry, I counseled people in various situations of life including grief counseling, counseling elders, death and dying, crises and trauma counseling, marriage and family counseling, pre-marital counseling, and spiritual formation counseling.

I consider it my privilege to provide a client-centered, supportive, and empathetic healing environment for individuals, couples and families. My passion to help others is birthed out of my personal experience and ongoing search for life’s deeper meaning. I am convinced that the answer to man’s search is found in the relational context of life.

Relational Psychoanalysis – as it focuses on Intersubjectivity, Dialogical I-Thou philosophy.

EMDR – an effective and powerful psychotherapy technique for people who suffer from trauma, anxiety, panic, disturbing memories, and PTSD .

PREPARE/ENRICH Inventories – a comprehensive couple assessment tool for marriage and pre-marital counseling.
